Zimmer Communications in Columbia/Jefferson City, MO is looking for a Part-Time news reporter to deliver on air and digital content for our cluster of stations, including 939 The Eagle, KWOS, and KFAL.
You will be responsible for gathering and writing news stories and anchoring newscasts on 3 of our stations, as well as posting stories on our station websites and social media accounts, and other related duties assigned by station management. Weekday Afternoon hours will be required. This opportunity will give the candidate the chance to grow their skills in broadcast journalism.
Experience with broadcast news writing and anchoring are preferred, though we are willing to train the right person with the right attitude. Good grammar, verbal communication, and strong computer skills are a must. Candidate should also be detail oriented, and be able to multi-task and handle interruptions, possessing the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
