Zimmer Communications in Springfield, MO is looking for a news reporter/anchor and producer to deliver on air and digital content for our cluster of stations, including 93-3 and A-M 560 KWTO, 98-7 The Dove, 101-3 Real Country, and 96-9, 99-9 and A-M 1060 ESPN The Jock.
KWTO has recently been recognized with 1st place and certificate of merit awards by the Missouri Broadcasters Association.
You will be responsible for writing news stories and anchoring newscasts on each of our Zimmer stations in Springfield, as well as posting stories on our station websites and social media accounts. This position requires flexibility and versatility to cover breaking news and severe weather, public meetings and press conferences, produce various shows on our stations, and other related duties assigned by station management.
Additional Information: We’re a Missouri-based, family-owned company with nine radio stations, three magazines and a growing Digital/Events department.
Experience with broadcast news writing and anchoring are preferred, though we are willing to train the right person with the right attitude. Good grammar and verbal communications stills are a must.
