Job Description :

The HR manager builds effective relationships and delivers value-added service and support to leaders and team members of Crown Power & Equipment Co., LLC. This role is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Review and make recommendations to management for improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization’s compliance
  • Maintain responsibility for organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local laws pertaining to all personnel matters
  • Communicate changes in the organization’s personnel policies, and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followed. Keep employee manual updated and communicate changes to all employees
  • Coordinate and conduct exit interviews to determine trends along with keeping an updated process regarding pay scale and benefits
  • Consult with Legal Counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the General Manager, on personnel matters
  • Develop and manage annual HR budget
  • Work directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters with an emphasis of increased approval times on background and drug testing
  • Oversee, lead, train, and develop HR processes for maximum effectiveness
  • Inform leadership of current state and measurements of progress involving EHS, workforce, retention, and regulatory trends impacting the business along with new training opportunities that could help our employees grow in their jobs
  • Support ongoing coaching and feedback opportunities for leaders and their teams, including but not limited to effective communication techniques for coaching for performance, how to motivate, train and retain your best employees, organizational skills, how to prioritize, customer service skills, phone etiquette, driving sales and leading by example
  • Partner with managers to consistently enhance and execute the annual performance review process
  • Manage EHS and HR training as appropriate and required
  • Participate on committees and special projects as required/needed
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adheres to all policies and procedures as specified in Employee Handbook.
    Develop a new process for onboarding new employees that works for all locations
  • Measure of success determined by established company guidelines, including but not limited to ability to successfully perform the above-mentioned duties, ability to take guidance and direction from Manager professionally, and execute upon such feedback
  • Ensure all employees have the needed information and support regarding their insurance, 401k, and all other Crown benefits

Qualifications :

  • 4-year college degree with a major in Human Resources, Business Administration, Environmental Safety or related field or equivalent 5+ years’ experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience required
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred
  • Background check and pre-employment drug testing required.
