The Payroll / HR Administrator is responsible for managing payroll processing and supporting day-to-day human resources operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to balance compliance with excellent employee service.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll

Process payroll accurately and on schedule
Maintain payroll records including earnings, deductions, bonuses, and adjustments
Manage direct deposits, tax withholdings, garnishments, and benefit deductions
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Prepare payroll reports and assist with quarterly and annual filings
Support year-end processing including W-2 preparation
Respond to employee payroll inquiries
Human Resources

Prepare and administer documents for onboarding new hires
Maintain employee personnel files
Administer employee benefits and coordinate open enrollment
Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
Support performance review and employee engagement initiatives
Process offboarding documents

Qualifications

5+ years of payroll and/or HR experience
Working knowledge of payroll systems and HR software
Familiarity with federal and state employment laws
Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills
High level of confidentiality and professionalism
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Preferred:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or Accounting
Experience processing payroll for multiple employees or entities
